These documents are CAPS-aligned and are designed to help parents and tutor centres prepare learners in a calm, structured way.

What you will find on this page
- Term 2 Assessment Programme (per grade): an overview of what will be assessed, how it is structured (MCQ quizzes and practical assignments), and key rules for learners and supervisors.
- Term 2 CAPS Revision Guide (per grade): a focused revision guide to help learners revise core concepts and identify gaps before the assessment period.
How to use these resources
- Download the Assessment Programme for your grade and read it first. It explains the assessment structure, marks breakdown and what the supervisor may or may not do during assessments.
- Use the Revision Guide weekly while you work through Term 2 content. Revise consistently and use the summaries/checklists to track progress.
- Focus on understanding, not cramming. The goal is to confirm what is already mastered and where your learner needs extra support—before the assessment window.
- Complete and upload end-of-term assessment activities on the OPSA LMS when the assessment window opens, because these are marked and form the basis of the report.
Practical tips for parents and tutors
- Work in short, consistent sessions and revise a little every week—especially for Maths, Natural Sciences, EMS and Social Sciences.
- Encourage learners to show their method (especially in Maths) and to practise reading and writing daily for the language subjects.
- If your learner struggles with a section, revise the basics first, then return to the activity and try again.
