Welcome to a structured and enriching learning experience with our Day-to-Day Program, perfectly suited for families seeking comprehensive educational support.
Join the OPSA family and embark on a journey of educational excellence. We are here to support you and your family every step of the way in achieving educational success.
Option 2: Trial Enrollment in the OPSA Homeschool Day-to-Day Program:

Registering Multiple Learners?
Option 2 is an excellent way to experience the supportive environment of OPSA without any initial commitment. We are here to help you determine the best path for your child's educational journey.
Option 3: Register Your Child for OPSA Assessment Only
Choose this option if you want professional, CAPS-aligned assessment and formal reporting, while continuing with your own home-education programme and schedule. This is ideal for families who already have an established learning routine but want credible evaluation, progress tracking, and end-of-year documentation.
CAPS-aligned assessments (Afrikaans or English)
Assessments are aligned to the CAPS curriculum, available in Afrikaans or English, and assessed by a SACE-registered teacher, aligned with home education assessment requirements in line with the BELA Act framework.
All CAPS subjects included, with optional Coding & Robotics
Assessments cover all CAPS subjects for the selected grade, including Coding & Robotics. Because Coding & Robotics is a newer subject, you can choose to:
include it in the assessment (it will appear on the report), or
exclude it (it will not appear on the report).
Coding & Robotics can also be assessed separately; if assessed separately, it will not appear on the main report.
Online assessments under your supervision (Quizzes and Assignments)
Assessments are completed online under parent/guardian supervision and consist of:
Quizzes: accessed once with a time limit, and
Assignments: completed by hand (typed work not accepted) and uploaded for teacher marking.
No fixed duration — you choose the schedule
There is no set timeframe or fixed duration. Home-educating families work at their own pace and schedule assessments when the learner is ready.
Reports, merit certificates, and promotion letters
After marking, you receive an official report and, if the learner achieves an average of 80% or more, a merit certificate. After the final assessment of the year (Term 4 or End-of-Phase, depending on the grade), you also receive a promotion letter signed by a SACE-registered teacher.
Assessment options and fees
Termly: R250 per term, per child (Grades R,1,2,4,5,7,8: Term 1–4; Grades 3,6,9: Term 1–3)
Annual: R800 per child (all grades R–9, includes Term 1–4 and End-of-Phase for Grades 3,6,9)
End-of-Phase (Grades 3,6,9): R500 per child per assessment
With Option 3, you gain reliable, CAPS-aligned evaluation and formal documentation, while keeping full flexibility over your home-education programme.
